We are proud to announce that our latest ISI Report (April 2026) found CLC to be fully compliant and recognised the value of our educational approach and outcomes.

We were awarded the rare accolade of a Significant Strength, for how CLC "co-ordinates the curricular, co-curricular and pastoral care programmes and applies them to promote the pupils' best interests".

CLC receives ‘Significant Strength’ accolade from Independent Schools’ Inspection
We are very proud to announce that the ISI’s recently published inspection report has provided formal recognition of the value of our educational approach and outcomes. In a highly positive set of findings, College was not only found to be fully compliant in all areas, but also received the rare accolade of a Significant Strength.

Become A Pupil

Our Admissions team is on hand to make your application process as seamless as possible. Every year we have over 150 students join College, becoming part of a vibrant, diverse and fearless community of over 820 students.

For many of our new boarders, joining Cheltenham Ladies’ College will be the first time they have left home for any considerable period. Whether coming from the UK or overseas, our house system is structured to allow new boarders to settle in quickly, with older girls supporting and nurturing younger pupils in “House families”.

For many families, being a Day pupil offers the best of both worlds. Students are fully integrated into the College community - learning, building friendships and leading alongside boarders. Wraparound care before and after school, local bus routes and occasional boarding spaces give families flexibility, whilst ensuring that students benefit from every opportunity available to them.
