Saturday 21st January saw the most recent of second-hand uniform sales held in St Hilda’s. These vibrant sales not only offer a fantastic opportunity for parents to purchase uniform at a discounted price, but they also allow for the recycling of uniform, reducing the impact of waste on the environment. The feedback that has been received by staff, parents and girls has been overwhelmingly positive with so many benefitting from this initiative.
Enormous effort is required to sort donations, label clothes and prepare for sales. We are incredibly grateful for the energy, interest and hard work provided by several students undertaking the Duke of Edinburgh Award who maintain a smooth process from donation to sale with our support.
One hundred percent of the monies raised from second-hand uniform goes directly to College's permanent charity, St Hilda’s East, in Tower Hamlets, London. The charity helps the local community by offering several services, opportunities and support for those in need.
To date, sales have almost reached £20,000 in support of the vital work at St Hilda’s East.
