Join an Open Day (ideally, our Sixth Form Open Day in September each year, or a general one if you’re unable to make that date) or book a one-to-one visit to explore how life as a day student can support your future ambitions.
We would encourage you to submit a Registration Form as soon as you have decided College is an option. This means we can invite you to relevant events and inform you of key deadlines as they approach.
Deadline: Beginning of October of Year 11
It is important for us to meet all our candidates as part of the entry process in order for us to get to know them as learners and potential members of our community.
The admissions process for Sixth Form is two-fold.
Essay and Interview: You’ll be asked to submit a handwritten essay then complete a virtual interview. A link to an Entrance Exam Form will be sent to successful applicants where you’ll be asked to submit course and scholarship preferences.
Deadline: Beginning of October of Year 11
Assessment Day: applicants will sit two written Sixth Form subject papers along with an adaptive verbal reasoning test, and an adaptive test (either Maths/Science or Art/Humanities), have a 1-2-1 interview with a member of the Sixth Form Team or Senior Leadership team and take part in a small, group-based activity.
Assessment Date: Early November of Year 11 at CLC
Subject Briefing Papers
Short-listed Academic, Art, Music and Sport Scholarship applicants will participate in an additional assessment programme at CLC in the same week as the entrance exams.
Offers are made in early December and you will usually have 2 weeks to accept.
Offer Date : 1st December of Year 11
Acceptance Date for 2026 entry: mid-December of Year 11
In June of Year 11, you will receive confirmation of your House and be given access to an online portal containing our joining information and forms to be completed.
In late June / early July, you'll have contact with your new Houseparent and have the opportunity to ask them your questions about joining your new house.
The Autumn term begins at the start of September. Arrangements vary each year, but new students tend to have an induction a day or two before the term begins, to give them chance to settle in.

If you have missed the application deadlines we are occasionally able to fast track an application, although we cannot guarantee that this will result in a place.
