In late January, over 50 students from SFC2, SFC1 and UC5 participated in the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Chemistry Olympiad, the annual exam that challenges students, pushing them beyond the A level curriculum.
The girls secured a very impressive set of results, with seven earning the highest level of a Gold Award, 13 achieving Silver Awards and 28 scoring Bronze.
Kathryn, Helena, Stella, Cindy and Elise swept Gold awards for the SFC2s who took part and they were joined by Sissi and Leeya (both in UC5) with the top award – a fantastic achievement.
A strong showing of Silver and Bronze awards bodes very well for next year’s competition. Congratulations to all those who took part.
