In the Computing Department, we pride ourselves on fostering innovation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. This year, we are thrilled to announce that 68 of our talented students have earned the coveted Gold Award in the Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge for 2024 (in the top 10% nationally), with three exceptional individuals achieving the distinction of full marks!
The Bebras Challenge, an internationally recognised competition, is designed to nurture and assess students' abilities in computational thinking - a foundational skill in today’s digital age. Each year, students from around the globe tackle a series of engaging and complex problems that test their logical reasoning, pattern recognition, and problem-solving capabilities under timed conditions.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all 68 Gold Award winners and especially to the three students who achieved full marks - Julie (LC1), Temperance (LC3) and Hei Lam (UC5).
