Congratulations to our IB students on the fantastic results they have achieved, thanks to their dedication and hard work over the last two years. The IB Class of 2023 has been awarded an average point score of 38.7, broadly equivalent to three A* grades at A Level.
More than a third of students scored the highest possible grade of 7 across all of their Higher Level subjects.
Thanks to these excellent results, pupils have secured places to study at a wide range of top UK universities:
Cambridge to study Law, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, and Natural Sciences
Cardiff and Manchester to study Medicine
Imperial to study Biological Sciences
Oxford to study Modern Languages, and Law with French.
Students have also secured a number of places at US Colleges, including Columbia, Dartmouth, University of Chicago and UC Berkeley, and McGill in Canada.
Principal Eve Jardine-Young said:
"I am extremely proud of our pupils, not only for the excellent results they have achieved, but also for the mature and responsive way that they have managed their learning."
The opportunity to study the IB Diploma Programme adds a great deal to the distinctive education at CLC, and earlier this year the school was named the top boarding school in the UK for the IB.
