For the second episode of the ‘Cheltenham Ladies’ College Podcast’, we’re joined by Charlotte Woodhead, Head of Lower College and Wellbeing Coordinator.
This episode focuses on new beginnings, starting in a new environment and the nerves and excitement that can bring.
Although it can feel daunting, Ms Woodhead believes the key to settling into any new school is to be your authentic self.
At CLC, we celebrate and encourage our students to be individuals, and we recognise that in order to succeed academically, it’s important to prioritise our students' wellbeing. We have an abundance of support in place to ensure any student starting at CLC has a smooth and happy transition.
Starting senior school is incredibly exciting, but of course, this leap to a new environment can lead to feelings of trepidation alongside this. These normal emotions, experienced when facing something new or different, are a healthy part of dealing with change and embracing challenge. At CLC we are thrilled to welcome new students (at any point in the academic year!) and we also experience the surge of excitement that the start of any new year brings. We have all sorts of things in place to nurture students from the start, and we work with families in advance of the move to help make the transition as smooth as possible. From then on, we continue to work hard to ensure CLC is a place like home, where students flourish in an inspiring and enriching educational environment.
