Chemistry Week took place this year on 6th to 11th November, and students were tasked with illustrating the character of a chemical element of their choosing.
From the explosive reactivity of potassium to the lazy, do-little attitude of argon, the students responded brilliantly with a range of skillfully produced images. The pictures now form a display in the Chemistry Department as a reminder of the diverse behaviour of the elements around us.
All students who entered received alchemy inspired gold coins whilst Jess (LC2) won the LC competition for her beautiful, hand drawn depiction of hydrogen, and Zadie (SFC1) won the UC/SFC prize for her inspired representation of sodium.
Thank you and well done to all the students who took part.
