Confirmation is a moment where young people declare their faith in God and their desire to live a Christian way of being in this world.
This decision is then confirmed by the presiding Bishop through the laying on of hands and the Church asks God to give them power through the Holy Spirit to enable them to live in this way.
We were delighted to see 25 students be confirmed into the Church of England by Bishop Rachel Treweek on Saturday 25th April, and eight students be confirmed by Bishop Declan into the Roman Catholic Church on Saturday 4th May.
Both occasions were joyous and full of courageous commitment to shine like a light in the world – and to that, we add our Amen!
