Over the last few weeks, we have been collecting Food donations for Trussell Trust Foodbank. Every week our SFC1 Community Links students volunteer to sort food. A few weeks ago they had run out of donations so our CLC girls took action.
Each House now has a donation box and they have been filling up fast. Our SFC1 students have been taking them each week and Trussell Trust is delighted with our new ‘little and often’ donations scheme. Thanks to everyone for your generosity.
In February, we hosted a clothing resale event in West Wing Hall from 4:30pm to 6:00 pm. We are delighted to announce that we successfully raised over £400, all of which will be directed towards the school charities.
The remaining clothing items will be donated to Bags2School for recycling. Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to clothes donations, helping with setup, or showing support by attending!
Last Thursday, we donated gluten-free bread and tins of tomato soup to the YMCA Soup Kitchen. They held a ‘Sleep Easy’ and ‘soup kitchen’ for individuals to experience sleeping rough to spread awareness and raise money. Thank you to all the Houses who donated.
