On 12th October, the German A Level students attended a career roadshow organised by the Goethe Institute London and the University of Bristol, offering a multi-faceted programme that provides insight into the relevance of German in professional life.
Our students had an inspiring time exploring careers that combine STEM subjects and languages and gleaned useful information regarding sources of financial support for future study or work experience abroad.
“It was a fun and enriching experience where we were able to learn lots about how doing a language can help us in our future careers even if we aren’t thinking of pursuing linguistics. We were able to listen to talks, interact with many different workshops, and meet people from different backgrounds who use German in their working and everyday lives. Overall it was a very fascinating and engaging experience and I learnt a lot from it.” - Claudia (SFC1)
