It was a delight to welcome 263 Guild members and Guild Honorary members back to College for their Guild Reunion on Saturday 18th May. Alumnae ranged in age from 20 to 90, and joined us from 16 different countries. We were even joined by a five week old baby!
At this reunion we honoured the years 1954, 1959, 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004, 2009, 2014 and 2019. For almost 80 members of our 2019 class, it was their first reunion, celebrating five years since they left CLC.
As well as catching up with old friends there was a full programme to enjoy. Beginning the day, as always at CLC, with Prayers in the Princess Hall, there were opportunities to tour new facilities such as the EET Department, take in the view from the Observatory and see the Summer Art Exhibition.
After year group photos, lunch and Pimm’s in the garden, alumnae could reminisce in the Archives, see their old Houses or head up to Field to watch athletics and cricket. Following competitive CLC vs Guild fixtures in hockey, lacrosse and netball, the day ended with everyone enjoying an afternoon tea at the Health and Fitness Centre.
It was a wonderful day with generations of Guild members celebrating their time at College and on-going support.
