We are thrilled to share the exciting news of our recent Higher Project Qualification (HPQ) Exhibition, which showcased the incredible work of over 30 talented students in the fields of Engineering, Enterprise, and Technology. The exhibition, hosted in the Parabola Arts Centre (PAC), was a testament to our students’ remarkable creativity and ingenuity.
The HPQ is a gateway that affords students the opportunity to explore and develop their enquiry skills, build their capacity for creative problem-solving and take ownership of their learning. The exhibition was a perfect platform for them to demonstrate their learning, personal growth and achievements, as well as highlight the real-world applications of their skills.
Amongst the many remarkable projects on display was a GPS rhino tracker, a technological marvel that exemplified the students' dedication to wildlife conservation, instead an electronic bookmark that translates words into sign language, in doing so, promoting inclusivity by bridging the communication gap between different communities, and a remote-controlled skateboard, a remarkable blend of engineering and adrenaline-fueled adventure.
On the fashion front, we were treated to a plethora of outstanding creations, including a Mary Quant-inspired dress, which was a perfect blend of retro style and modern design, and a skirt inspired by the fusion of Nigerian culture and the popular TV series Gossip Girl. This fusion of diverse influences showcased the ability to combine cultures, embrace diversity, and create fashion that tells a unique story.
The skills our students have developed are the foundation for success in a rapidly changing world, where adaptability, innovation, and critical thinking are highly sought after.
We are incredibly proud of their achievements and the dedication they have shown throughout the HPQ process. Their passion for exploration and their willingness to push boundaries truly embodies the spirit of CLC.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the students, staff and parents who attended the HPQ exhibition and supported our students' endeavours.
