On Saturday 6th May, to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III, some of the UC4 (Year 10) GCSE Food and nutrition students made the Jubilee Pudding, which was designed and created by a member of the public, Jemma Melvin, who won a national competition with her creation to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of the late Queen.
The lemon swiss roll and amaretti trifle is composed of seven elements: swiss roll, lemon curd, orange jelly, fresh custard, amaretti biscuits, mandarin coulis and whipped cream. It is then decorated to resemble a crown with shards of white chocolate stabbed with mixed peel to represent the jewels in the crown.
