LC Snowdonia Trip
5th June 2024

On Friday 17th May, 23 LC students set off after lunch for Snowdonia. Despite the long drive the students were all very excited on arrival at the bunkhouse.

On Saturday morning we were up early to make lunch and start our Snowdon ascent. The weather at the beginning of the walk was beautiful, but the clouds soon descended and cooled everyone down. Students enjoyed some spectacular views all the way to the top – stopping just short of the summit to avoid the queue!

The journey back down was much faster and we arrived back to the bunkhouse to refuel and change in readiness for climbing.

The climbing session involved a mixture of climbing on 18m tall walls, bouldering and crazy climbing. Despite the tiredness, the pupils had great fun.

Sunday morning saw another early start, packing everything back into the trailer and heading over to Blaenau Ffestiniog for a trip to Zip World. We spent the morning in the underground caverns, a series of bridges and zip wires set underground, and the afternoon in Bounce Below, an underground trampolining park.

After a much-needed ice cream stop it was time to head back to CLC. Most students were asleep within minutes of being back on the bus!

A fun-packed weekend filled with challenges enjoyed by all.
