The Religious Studies and Philosophy Department took the LC1s to Gloucester Mosque on 14th January.
At the mosque, the students were able to meet members of the Islamic community in Gloucester, engage in a calligraphy workshop, try on traditional Islamic clothing and hear a talk from the imam.
The students were able to tour the mosque itself, exploring the prayer halls and were given a demonstration of the prayers they recite as part of the five daily prayers.
