Once again, the library transformed into a concert hall, with an excited audience gathered. The lights dimmed, and a regular Friday night became Library Music Night, one of the most magical occasions at CLC each term.
The 2nd February was no exception, with some genuinely moving renditions of evergreens and recent numbers alike. The night was particularly poignant, as it marked the final opportunity for several SFC2 regulars to take to the stage. They treated us to some spectacular numbers yet again, giving us wonderful interpretations of songs by Sinatra, Laufey, and One Direction, among many others. We will miss their contributions and beautiful voices so very much.
That said, the future is bright and exciting, with some serious talent moving up through the ranks. The Lower College acts were absolutely on fire that evening, and we can’t wait to see (and hear!) their performing skills develop over the next few years.
Also, as always, a massive well done to our lovely audience, who time after time, prove themselves a huge, unified source of support and enthusiasm. It is a joy to see them soothing any pre-gig nerves and cheering on each and every act as if they were playing at Wembley.
Finishing the evening in style, the House Band brought the house right down with their Grease singalong and sent everyone home buzzing. A massive thanks to Miss Brandon, her husband Mick, and Mr Keir for putting on another absolutely brilliant show!
