On Friday 10th November, we held the first Library Music Night (LMN) of the academic year. Incredibly, this is the 19th of its kind!
It was lovely to see students from LC1 to SFC2 performing in the same space and appreciating each other’s music making. The quality and range of musical talent on show was outstanding, with incredible solo and group vocal performances, often supported by intricate musical arrangements, crafted and polished to perfection, and delivered by accomplished instrumentalists.
The atmosphere of LMN is so special as it is a very intimate and informal platform for students to showcase pieces that are personal to them. Miss Muhlberg, Mr Keir and I really enjoyed being part of this event and are so grateful to Mr Todd, former Head of Library Services, for coming up with the idea all those years ago. We are proud to fly the flag for live music and are already looking forward to LMN20.
Miss Brandon (Bayshill Housemistress), Mr Keir (Head of Academic Music), and Miss Muhlberg (Head of Library Services)
