This year, Anti-Bullying week started with a powerful Prayers led by Bayshill House, focusing on types of bullying, its effects and solutions in an accessible way for all year groups.
The prayers, following World Kindness Day, dissected the important topic alongside the more light-hearted Mean Girls movie. Following this, there was a whole-school mufti day with the theme: ‘On Wednesdays We Wear Pink’. We felt that this was the best takeaway from the ‘mean girls’ in the film, rejecting their actual ‘meanness’ of course!
The day served as a visual representation of our collective stand against bullying, encouraging the creativity, diversity and individuality of everyone in our community. All in all, we feel that this year’s anti-bullying theme: ‘Make A Noise’ was very well served at CLC!
