Giselle’s journey to becoming a Rise Global Winner began with her ambitious efforts to combine her passions for technology and medicine. Recognising the profound challenges faced by individuals with paralysis, she developed a proof-of-concept mind-controlled, machine learning-enabled keyboard. This groundbreaking innovation holds immense potential for empowering paralyzed individuals to communicate more effectively, showcasing Giselle’s exceptional ability to harness cutting-edge technology for transformative solutions.
As part of her Rise project, Giselle created the AlzhCare (app downloadable from the app store https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/alzhcare/id6476115963), an innovative digital tool designed to delay the onset of Alzheimer’s disease. By integrating personalised cognitive exercises and user-friendly health management features, the app aims to improve quality of life for those at risk of neurodegeneration.
