The Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Competition is an opportunity for young people to develop game-changing tech ideas that could make a difference to people and communities most in need.
The submission by Sarah and Raye in SFC1 is one of 12 submissions to go through to the next round, which is an outstanding achievement.
They designed a one-size-fits-all shoe with a biometric algorithm to track foot pressure and placement. The design is meant for diabetic patients who have lost sensation in their feet, allowing them to adjust the shoe according to what the algorithm suggests.
They will submit the refined product in March for a grand prize total of £10,000.
