Savannah College of Art and Design talk
20th March 2024

CLC was delighted to welcome Samantha Burkholder from SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) for a talk about what their college has to offer and the admissions process.

SCAD is a private, non-profit university located in Savannah, Georgia, United States.

One of our SFC1 students applying to the US, Medha, has shared her reflections on the talk:

Attending the SCAD talk was indeed a privilege. Samantha's presentation has opened numerous avenues and highlighted various career-oriented opportunities in creative development, spanning fields such as art, architecture, design, and multimedia. Additionally, the presentation emphasised the vibrant community at SCAD, renowned for embracing talented individuals from around the globe who seek to enhance their skills under the mentorship of esteemed faculty and accomplished alumni.

From the talk I took away that SCAD places emphasis on making meaningful connections and extends its curriculum to high school students through summer programmes, providing them with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the community and engage in courses taught by experienced professors.

I extend my thanks to the PGC team for organising such an enlightening session and shedding light on colleges that offer a wide array of disciplines.

On behalf of the students who attended the talk, I would like to extend my thanks to Samantha for giving up her time and inspiring our students.
