The Princess Hall was gloriously packed out for a Carol Service full of readings, prayers, anthems and carols on Friday 15th December, and I am incredibly grateful to all those who contributed to this wonderful occasion.
I was heartened to read recently that the history of carol singing might have included a spontaneous dance or jig – for carols are indeed joyous. Many of them not only carry the Christian message of hope demonstrated in the life of Jesus Christ, but they resonate with wider prayers for peace on earth and tidings of great joy that should be available for all humankind.
Whilst the PH didn’t break out into a spontaneous jig on Friday, I am sure that we will all endeavour to joyfully carry the message of light & love into our world.
Have a very Happy Christmas!
