A wonderful evening of music took place on 17th October, when our most senior Music Scholars performed in what is one of their last major recitals at College. The evening is always mixed with a tinge of emotion as these students who have given so much to the musical life of College take to the stage in their finery to perform.
The programme for this year was an utter delight. From the very beginning, we were treated to some outstanding playing by everyone; flute, piano, violin, voice, and harp with their shared mix of music from Bach, to Beethoven and Schuman to Sarasate with an eclectic mix of everything in between.
I always take this opportunity to thank the students for their outstanding contribution to the life of the Music Department whilst at College. However, this particular group of students are really quite special, so thank you to all of you for producing such wonderful music.
Mr Lloyd, Director of Music
