On Friday 14th June, the whole of UC4 were involved in the Talk Think Thrive. event at the Health and Fitness Centre.
This was a global citizenship exhibition, where students were encouraged to learn about how to ‘disagree agreeably,’ and how to spot misinformation when researching controversial issues.
Each group produced an artefact (poster, video, model) which was used to inspire discussion of issues such as…
- Does everyone have equal opportunities to do well in life?
- Am I a feminist?
- Do the things I own define me?
UC4 were persuasive and convincing because they had done extensive research and had discussed difficult topics in their groups. After a challenging week of exams and events, I was very impressed with their engagement and wonderful contributions.
