Academic Admissions and Scholarship Process

It is important for us to meet all our candidates as part of the entry process in order for us to get to know them as learners and potential members of our community.

The admissions process for Sixth Form is two-fold.

  • Essay and Interview: You’ll be asked to submit a handwritten essay then complete a virtual interview. A link to an Entrance Exam Form will be sent to successful applicants where you’ll be asked to submit course and scholarship preferences.

Deadline: Beginning of October of Year 11

  • Assessment Day: applicants will sit two written Sixth Form subject papers along with an adaptive verbal reasoning test, and an adaptive test (either Maths/Science or Art/Humanities), have a 1-2-1 interview with a member of the Sixth Form Team or Senior Leadership team and take part in a small, group-based activity.

Assessment Date: Early November of Year 11 at CLC

Short-listed Academic, Art, Music and Sport Scholarship applicants will participate in an additional assessment programme at CLC in the same week as the entrance exams.

Subject Briefing Papers

I think the best thing about CLC is the supportive environment, but also that although the academics are really important, there's equal emphasis placed on other things such as music, sport, drama.
