On Monday 20th March, 10 local schools attended the Primary Maths Team challenge in CLC's Health and Fitness Centre. Teams, consisting of four Year 5 students, spent the day solving maths problems in different forms, including a cross-number and a maths relay.
Our Prefects helped facilitate the day alongside the accompanying staff, and the visiting students all showed excellent teamwork, resilience and a great love of mathematics.
Following some close heats, Gotherington Primary School emerged victorious, having narrowly edged ahead of the other schools. This was a lovely opportunity for CLC to provide some mathematics enrichment for local primary students and the day was enjoyed by all.
